Everybody has a moment in your life where you are so confused by what has happened that you are left to question if it was real.
Well, that moment for Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy happened live on air, in one of the most strange talkSPORT calls we have ever had in more than 20 years of broadcasting.
Regular Sports Bar listeners know we get all sorts calling into our late-night show, but we reached new levels of crazy when Kevin phoned in to have his say…

Having admitted he was just 15, Goldstein and Cundy responsibly asked if had the bill-payer’s permission and asked to speak to his mum or dad.
And so Kevin put his ‘father’ Schmeltz Herring on the phone, and a legend was born.
It was pretty clear from the beginning it was just Kevin putting on a deep voice, but fair play for plucking a name like ‘Schmeltz Herring’ out of thin air. We’re a fan of that.
After a brief conversation with Kevin’s apparently Dutch shopkeeper father, the bizarre charade continued, as he then put his ‘mother’ Hannah, from Sao Paulo in Brazil, on the line.
What a family!
Oh, but don’t ask her where in Sao Paulo she’s from, she doesn’t have a clue.

Goldstein and Cundy played along all throughout the hilarious call, while failing to stifle their hysterics, but Andy did try to catch Kevin out, asking him and his dad to count to ten at the same time.
To which Kevin replied… “I don’t know my numbers.”
Which makes you wonder how he dialled into the show in the first place.
What did he actually call up to say?
We have no idea.
